Yes, it’s finally here and it’s not a hoax.The infamous ‘Gucci’ SB has retroed. One obvious difference is the replacement of the usual Nike SB imprint on the tongue tag with the letters RESN. Many of you are perhaps clueless as to what those initials mean. Well, its actually a shoutout to Sam Smyth of Girl Skateboards who designed the original ‘Gucci’ SB back in ‘05. While that one was never released and only 24 samples were ever made and given to Nike Influencers and friends and family, it really was meant to be nicknamed RESN. Sam Smyth used to go around tagging those letters when he was in the IBC tagging crew in San Francisco. Green stood for weed, red for fire and black for RESN.
While you may not favour the tongue tag very much, i’m sure as hell you guys are gonna cop these once they drop.
The RESN ‘Gucci’ Dunk SB will be made available locally at Gallery and Limited Edt.
