Mention the Hyperdunk and the infamous commercial of Kobe Bryant jumping over the Aston Martin while wearing one of the most lightweight basketball shoes, will immediately be brought to mind. Back in ‘08, the Hyperdunk campaign caused worldwide furor when the commercial hit Youtube, spurring many parodies (not to mention localboy SBTG’s Lamborghini jump in which he wore his custom pair of Blue Devils Dunk Low, created as part of the Varsity Bones series and also as a tribute to Kobe Bryant’s ghost college, Duke University).
Fast forward 2 years later, Nike wants a piece of the pie; that same pie of millions of Kobe fans across the globe who were taken by storm with that Hyperdunk commercial.
Set to release very very soon is the Kobe Bryant Aston Martin pack which will comprise of the Hyperdunk as well as the Zoom Kobe V. Both will sport a grey/metallic silver colorway, very reminiscent of the grey on the body of the Aston Martin. Both shoes are housed in a duo-box painted a very sleep black with smoke graphics.
Nike will drop this soon but as of now, no official date has been announced. But i hear Singapore’s Limited Edt will drop these extremely soon. Watch out for it!
