Remember the Freestyles and Ex O Fits? If you do, you must be from that era where Freestyles were the name of the game. They saw you through the gym right up to even the streets. This time round, these and more are being presented in a way that blends fashion with art.

Here we have Affili’Art, a program that  ‘combines the world of art and passion to create a bold collection of products that affiliates iconic art with classic sportswear.’ Reebok teamed up with 3 artists, Jean-Michel Basquiat, John Maeda and Rolland Berry, to create an uber cool collection that ‘celebrates creativity, authenticity and individuality’, using some of the heritage models as a canvas to showcase their imagination and exceptional creativity. img_5994All 3 are fascinating artists in their own right, pushing boundaries and redefining art, which serve as avenues to influence pop culture.

Pictured are the Basquiat collection featuring a monochromatic scheme and hints of  graffiti, for which he gained img_5997popularity in New York. With his iconic style taking shape in the form of Reebok sneakers, it serves as a tribute to his unique talent.  While the rest of his collection diverts to more colors, expect his style of art still being applied.

So what can we expet from the other 2 artists? Extraordinary colorconcepts and mathematically generated graphics. We’re intrigued already!img_5992

The Affili’Art collection will be available this Fall at Limited Edt. Go get artsy-fartsy!
